The secret of happy photographers.

I have this really fantastic pie crust recipe.

It has neat little tricks like freezing the dough (for that extra flakiness).

There is only one problem with my delicious recipe.

It makes me. CRAZY.

Like nutso, get out of my kitchen, I’ve got to concentrate or the world as we know it is over – CRAZY.

There is just something about a pie crust that makes me feel like it has to be exactly right or everyone will laugh and point and say “HA! Cooking fail!”.

I feel exactly the same way about my photos.

I see people like Jasmine Star outsourcing their edits and album design and I just cringe.

“But HOW!?” I scream silently to myself. “What about CONTROL and making sure every little detail is just… so?”

And then I give up on editing again and wander in my kitchen to try out that awesome Apple Pie I saw on the internet. But this time is different. This time I have a secret weapon.

Wait for it…… refrigerated pie crust. GASP! No!

YES! Yes, a million times yes. My world is forever changed.

And then it hits me. If I can outsource something as incredibly important as pie crust, what ELSE can I add to the list of things I don’t have to worry the heck about anymore?

Editing and album design… and … EVERYTHING!

Ok, maybe not everything. But those first two, I can handle that. Because, really, as Jasmine says, I’m not a photoshopper, I’m a photographer.

Now, you can totally go make that pie (I don’t recommend the do-it-yourself crust though.. just don’t go there).
